On November 5th 2022  the Houston Astros took the lead. The Houston Astros have the lead against the Philadelphia Phillies in game 6 , winning 4 times and the Phillies winning two games. They both had to battle against pretty good teams to get into the world series of Baseball. The Astros had to battle Against the Seattle Mariners and out of 5 games the Astros won the first 3 so the season ended sooner for the Mariners than they wanted.

The results of the very first game saw the Astros taking the win over the Seattle Mariners with a final score of 8-7, with designated hitter Yordan Álvarez  AKA “Air Yordan” hitting a 438 foot home run scoring Shortstop Jeremy Peña and center fielder  Jake Meyers to win that game with a 7-8 ending score with Robbie Ray pitching with the pitch being a two seam fastball 93 MPH down the middle. The second play off game The Astros took the second win in a row coming back from center fielder Julio Rodriguez double. Then Yordan hit a 2 run Home run 371  feet with  pitcher Luis Castillo pitching a 98 MPH four seam fastball to tie them. Then third baseman Alex Bregman had an RBI and brought in Peña. Then in the 3rd game, the 18 inning game the entire game without score and then at the top of the 18th Peña hits a solo homerun 415 feet off a slider off Penn Murfee.

For the Philadelphia Phillies to get into the World Series they were in the playoffs with the San Diego Padres. The first game the Phillies won 2-0 with designated hitter  Bryce Harper hitting a solo homerun 349 feet in thee top of the 4th with Yu Darvish on the Padres pitching a four seam fastball 93 MPH, then after second inning at the top of the 6th inning Leftfield Kyle Schwarber hit another solo home run 488 feet off Darvishe’s 87 MPH Cutter. The second game did not go so well for the Phillies the Padres Beat the Phillies 5-8 with the Phillies ahead most of the game too until 3rd baseman Rhys Hoskins hit a two run single scoring in Catcher Austin Nola and left fielder Juan Soto making the score 6-4. The third game the Phillies won 4-2 when shortstop Jean Seguras hit a 2 run single off a 4 seam slider in the bottom of the 4th off Joe Musgrove and scored on third baseman Alec Bohm and Third baseman Bryson Stott. Then in the Bottom of the 6t, Bohm hit an RBI double scoring in right fielder Nick Castellanos.

In the 4th game the Phillies won 10-4 with them starting pretty hot early with first baseman hitting a two run home run scoring in left fielder Schwarber, then a little later in the game Harper had an RBI scoring in catcher J.T. Realmuto then in the same inning Castellanos hit an RBI hitting Harper in. Then to end that game Realmuto hit a solo homerun.When they hit the field, starting pitcher Zach Eflin seals the Phillies win by getting the last out at first base. Then in the final game with the Phillies and the Padres the Padres took another loss and there final loss to make the Phillies go to the World Series!. The game really started in the 3rd when first base Rhys Hoskins hit a two run home run, scoring him and Schwarber.Then deep into the 8th inning Harper hit a solo homerun 361 feet against Darvish throwing a 4-seam. As good as the Phillies are, the Astros have them beat. The first game the two teams went head to head with the Phillies winning 6-5. The Astros were almost guaranteed to win in the top of the 4th with the score 5-3 but then came and battled back. Realmuto had the winning home run in the game making the score 6-5. The second game of the World Series was a different story for the Astros,they won 5-2 with the 5 runs they scored in the first 5 innings then the Phillies were trying their best to come through in the 8th and 9th inning scoring 2 runs but it just did not make the cut.  

The 3rd game the Phillies won 7-0 in the third game, crazy how things eculate.It was just not the Astros game with the first inning Harper hit  a 2 run home run just to start the game off strong.Then to  seal the win we saw already coming, Hoskins hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 5th. We all know Alvarez to get big hits but in the fourth game he was the one that got hit by the pitch from Jose Alvarado. Then in the top of the 5th inning first baseman Yuli Gurriel hit an RBI single to score Bregman making the game a win 5-0.

The fourth game everyone was so confused on what is about to go on into this game to who is gonna win or what team is feeling the best to their ability this game. But of course the Astros won with a score of 3-2, a pretty close call with both pena and Schwarber hitting home runs keeping the score still tied. Then Pena hit another home run in the 4th. Then of course Álvarez hit the winning RBI run scoring in Bregman. Now the minute, the game, the time we have been waiting for the World Series Game 6.

The game started in the top of the 6th with Schwarber hitting a solo home run 337 ft leading the Phillies ahead.Then what the guy is most noticed for Álvarez hit a 3 run home run in the bottom of the third 409 ft pretty much stealing the game back from the Phillies. The Astros battled through this whole season and worked to the best of their abilities and it all worked out. What an exciting season! Fans can’t wait to see what happens next year.
