A Dog’s Daily Routine

  • After she is done going “potty,” she starts to run around in the yard. She enjoys doing this firstly because it has snowed, and she enjoys winter weather, but also so she could warm up her energy for the day.

  • After a good fifteen minutes of playing in the snow, she dries off, and finally takes a nap. She spends most of her day following someone around and sleeping at their feet.

  • At the end of the day, when her family starts eating dinner, she finally eats her kibble for the day and prepares to go to sleep.

Have you ever wondered what a dog does each day? If dog’s create a stable routine? If they ever observe what humans do each day, and incorporate a human’s routine into their practice? After I followed my German Shepherd, Lilith, for several days, i’ve discovered it’s quite surprising what dogs are capable of learning and how they adapt it into their daily lives.
