“The Batman” is an utterly must-see movie where you get to see Batman take on a dangerous antagonist “The Riddler.” As the Caped Crusader hunts down this dangerous killer, he solves many difficult riddles that lead to more and more discoveries about Gotham City. Secrets arise about citizens living there that leave people surprised and even cautious. At first, it was very slow in the beginning, but honestly, I really like those kinds of movies. It gives you time to process it, and waiting makes you think for a long time about what happens next.

Initially, I was surprised to see that Robert Pattinson was going to be Batman. Since I have only seen him in the movie Twilight, I didn’t think his acting would be as good as him being Batman. I was pleasantly surprised with his acting in this movie. He pinpoints exactly how Bruce Wayne is: dark, mysterious, very serious, and somewhat broody. It was amazing how Robert BECAME Batman. Additionally, the movie really shows Batman’s detective side since he is known as the world’s greatest detective. In my opinion, Batman’s other nickname, the Dark Detective, hasn’t really been shown enough in the other Batman movies. However, this movie absolutely nailed it with him connecting pieces together, having an excessive amount of equipment, and him possessing outstanding knowledge. In the end, as I stated, this perfectly demonstrated him having the ability of being a great detective.

A creative choice that the director Matt Reeves made was making the coloring of the movie dark, and focusing the camera on the character. Which furthermore made it seem a serious, uneasy, and powerful presence of the characters known, as a result, would make you want to ease in as you watch. By doing that it really pulled me into the movie because I knew it was important, but also with all of the acts pulled in it really gave me that thrilling feeling, As I was watching the movie I didn’t even realize that it was 3 hours until the end and by that, it just goes and show’s how much dedication Matt reeves put into the directing of the movie.

All of the actors had stunning performances, even if they had minor roles. For example, in the beginning, when the bat light signal came on all of the bad people were running to hide, by doing that it lets you know right away that them running away symbolizes that Batman was someone they should fear. It’s a nice touch for characters that aren’t even given names. Another role was Batman’s butler Alfred who had a minor role too and wasn’t on the screen that much, even so, Alfred and Bruce looked like they had a real bond and showed lots of loving and caring traits that expressed that he did indeed cared for Bruce that looked incredibly real even if it was acting, aside from that, Andy Serkis played the role perfectly.

Now Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman is phenomenal, not only did she bring out the Catwoman, but she shows cat-like movements that make her seem really like a cat. Selina Kyle is a very confident and carefree person, and Kravitz perfectly embodied this part of her character. I also loved the outfits that the director had her wear. It fit Zoe so well and made her look stunning.

Paul Dano was mind-blowing as the Riddler. His performance blew me away, and added so much to the overall thrill of the film. He absolutely seems like a real psychopath, from his body performances in the movie as well as his language and tone that indicate the eerie feeling of just hearing him made the acting flawless, his two looks of him played two powerful parts first we have a side where he is dressed as the riddler which if you took a look at him it would make you want to run for your life because of his strong horrifying look, while when he doesn’t have his suit on he looks like a sweet man that you would smile if he walked by and wouldn’t suspect of him being a bad guy, I loved his acting, clothes, movements, everything. Including the astounding end of the Riddler that made me feel the heart-stopper awestruck, it made the end seem that it was very well not the end of his horrendous acts.

Now if you enjoy mystery, action, and drama movies this is a movie for you. Some people complain about how the movie is 3 hours long, but if you truly enjoy mystery and action movies then the 3-hour length would feel almost short due to how amazing this film was.
