“The world doesn’t owe you anything. People don’t owe you anything.” ~ Thewizardliz.

If you have TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, or any social media app that teenagers invest in, then you may have heard of the 22-year-old social media influencer and model from Antwer, Belgium. With 3 million subscribers on Youtube, 200,000 daily views, 10,000+ daily average subscribers, and almost 1 million followers on Instagram. This star is claimed by the internet to be either a narcissist or the big sister of the internet.

But who is Thewizardliz? Previously stated an influencer and model, she’s most known for her self-development, mental health, spiritual content, and most importantly her infamous videos of just sitting down on a floor as she confidently gives advice to people regards of any situation you’re ever in, whether that be heartbreak, relationships, confidence, mental health wise, etc. Going on taking your power back and making your life YOUR own life.

The reasons, why people despise yet love Thewizardliz, is because she doesn’t give people a dream to feed off, give them hopes of trying to be something they’re not, or just one’s destiny itself. She’s real and honest with everything she says that it’s so frustrating for others, trying her best to help us realize what we need to do.

At the time of writing this, Thewizardliz had posted 29 videos of different situations we can relate to at some point of our life and her perspective of what she’d do on them just for anyone who feels stuck. Another reason why people despite yet love Thewizardliz is because Thewizardliz’s approach is quite passive-aggressive; keeping things real with you. She gets straight to the point and makes you stop feeling bad for yourself. “If you don’t find yourself worthy of care, the world will also not find you worthy of care.” states Thewizardliz in her video: “I don’t care if you don’t like me, you don’t even like yourself.” She has your biggest interest at heart, the wisdom and knowledge Thewizardliz retains is astonishing as she wishes the best for you, and that’s why many people on the internet claim Thewizardliz as the internet’s big sister they never knew they needed. “Sometimes you need to get uncomfortable, to get comfortable.” she says in her video: “Time to get confident baby.“

Despite her positive influence, many see Thewizardliz as an unhealthy personality to follow. Is it her powerful personality, her truth, her video titles such as previously stated, “I don’t care if you don’t like me, you don’t even like yourself”? On Reddit, many users think very differently about Liz as they describe her as a “delusional narcissist.” and “borderline crazy” the thread then continues to go on about her pretty privilege. But is she confident or a narcissist? Thewizardliz then indirectly responds to these threads in a video posted September 30, 2022, titled, “How to stop feeling sorry for yourself” then she talks about this during a part of the video that’s labeled, “Beauty is easy” which she then goes on about saying, “if you are constantly gonna whine about, oh yeah she has pretty privilege so it’s easy for there whatever, um okay, you have two arms and you have two legs, there’s somebody out there that doesn’t have that, well you have leg privilege and arm privilege. Let’s talk about that. You can see. You have not been blind. And screw all of that. Let’s talk about the fact you have food on your table. You can afford a phone or a laptop or whatever to watch me on this screen.”

“If you are already looking for a solution, you’re already halfway there.” Thewizardliz states in her video: “Stop feeding the demon, how I overcame my binge eating disorder.” Somewhere in September 2021, a video went viral on the internet of Thewizardliz going off a photographer for implying an eating disorder against her. Hired by a clothing brand as a size XS model, Thewizardliz goes on with her day for a photoshoot, but before they can even get started, a photographer tells Thewizardliz, “that I would have [another] shoot in two weeks if I wanted to take the job, but it would be best if I didn’t eat so I would look skinnier in the pictures.” as she would state in an interview with DailyMail. Then she says, “I was in shock, I was quiet for a minute or something, just staring at them.” but then proceeds to go off on the photographer exclaiming, “You can not tell people to not eat by until the next shoot because that will develop an eating disorder. I’m secure about my body and love myself but if there was another model who was standing here and was insecure about their body that one comment that you made would literally make her go insane. I’m literally already very skinny and even if I wasn’t, you’re not the one to tell me what to do with my body.” This then leads to her refusing to continue the photoshoot and telling the photographer to watch their mouth as she proceeds to just leave.

Ultimately, role model Thewizardliz attempts to teach her fanbase important lessons about body positivity, self-love, combating eating disorders, standing up for yourself, and confidence in general which can help heal us mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally in life. She not only helps heal our hearts but also our souls, and investing time into her videos especially when you relate to one of the situations she talks about can just really make you better. So ask yourself again, “Who is Thewizardliz?” and think of your highest version of yourself, and that’s where she shall be.
